Nearly three years after its market launch, the G05 BMW X5, and its M model, is preparing for a facelift. While the previous generation model F15 didn't actually get a facelift, this new one will follow in the steps of other BMW models. Recent spy photos point to a new headlights design, as well as some other upgrades to the front fascia.
When the BMW M3 Touring project was announced, the world went mad. This is one certified way to check if your customers are still interested in a car that has been in demand for decades now. After a few months of having everyone's attention, the M3 Touring fell into the background.
BMW is road testing its third-generation X1 ahead of an expected debut in the first half of 2022. Given that the current X1 has only just been facelifted, having first gone on sale in 2015, we don't expect to see the new car becoming official during next year. Visually, it appears the next X1 will feature a design evolved from that of the newer, bolder X2, as well as the new 1 Series.
Rumors of a high-horsepower BMW X8 M surfaced before we even spotted a camo-wrapped prototype. Eventually we caught a standard X8 prototype in public, followed in the spring of 2021 by a potential X8 M hybrid sighting. The video comes from CarSpyMedia, which recently caught BMW testing its forthcoming flagship SUV at the Nürburgring.
The guys from Carwow decided to do a drag race between three cars from completely different segments for a change. The BMW M4 is right now the performance favorite in comparison to its rivals, while the RS6 has the same honor in comparison to the E63 AMG and M5 Competition.
It seems like the new BMW M3 Competition has to constantly prove itself against all sorts of rivals, even some that are tuned and have massive power advantages. The M3 doesn't seem to want to back down and the video below shows just what it can do, even against cars with over 700 horsepower.
Everyone seems to love it, despite being quite expensive. Can the special edition BMW keep up with one of the fastest accelerating cars in the world on a drag strip? When the Porsche Taycan came out and the Turbo S version, the world stopped for a moment. If we're to compare the M5 CS with it, could the ICE model keep up?
The BMW Z3 M Coupe is a car that's typically only loved by BMW enthusiasts. Outside a group of Roundel-loving car nuts, few people even know what the Z3 M Coupe even is. In this new video from Hagerty, famous Porsche 911-fan Magnus Walker drives the Z3 M Coupe to see if it's the next big thing.
BMW has given the iX3 a mid-cycle refresh for 2022, after only about a year of sales. The iX3 will be produced in Shenyang, China, in a joint venture with Brilliance Automotive for export to Europe and for the Chinese market. The reason for such a quick update is that the iX3 debuted well into the product cycle of the underlying X3 model, which was due for a mid-cycle refresh anyway, so the iX3 will get a fresher look in the process.
From building aircraft engines to making driving enthusiast's cars, BMW has a rich heritage that dates back to World War 1. As a brand transformation tool, the German manufacturer targeted a younger audience with the phrase "Freude am Fahren," or Sheer Driving Pleasure. Today, the brand is widely known to produce great drivers' cars, and here are their models over the years that contributed to BMW's rich history.
Building the Hurricane M8 models, G-Power took what it had learned from the M5 and applied that knowledge to the 4.4L S63 V8 under the hood of the M8. Via Evo UK, G-Power tuned the V8 to 829 hp and an astonishing 774 lb-ft of torque, 212 and 221 over standard, thanks to upgraded turbochargers, a less restrictive exhaust, and a new tune in the ECU.
In this video, we get to see an M40 engine from an E30 BMW get restored. For those who aren't familiar with BMW's engine codes, the M40B16 engine is a 1.6 liter naturally-aspirated four-cylinder engine used in several BMWs of the era. In this case, it came from an E30 BMW 316i, which itself is also getting a restoration.
Thanks for being here.
