BMW X7 Facelift (2022): kidneys, front, lights, engines, preview
The luxury SUV will gets a completely new front with even bigger kidneys. Big kidneys are now part of the brand design, but there is still room for improvement - the facelift of the X7 proves this. The real highlight is the new arrangement of the lights , which the upcoming X8 could also carry. Narrow daytime running lights replace the previous headlights , which will be located one floor lower for the facelift.
2022 BMW X3 M Facelift, New M4 Convertible Spied Part Of M Test Convoy
144,218. That’s how many M cars BMW managed to sell last year, a record-breaking figure despite 2020 negatively impacted by the coronavirus pandemic. The Bavarians shipped six percent more cars than the year before, and 2021 is shaping up to be even better. Mainly because the new M3 and M4 are out and about, but spy shots have also revealed the X3 M and X4 M will be going through an update known as Life Cycle Impulse in BMW marketing speak.
BMW X4 M Prototype Spied During Winter Test Hiding Facelift
It was less than two years ago when BMW introduced the X4 M, and it didn't take long for our spy photographers to catch prototypes of the face lifted version. The X4 and X4 M still feel relatively fresh, but recent sightings of face lifted prototypes tell us BMW is going to introduce the LCI versions later this year, at least the standard version.

The roadster body style may look great and come with great handling and a unique feel but it also has its shortcomings. While BMW has been adamant that such a product won't happen for what used to be obvious reasons, we did get something of a surrogate in the shape of the Alpina XB7. The XB7 is a monstrously fast SUV with a 600 HP V8 under the hood that's capable of speeds you can't fathom when looking at this car. That kind of power needs some solid cooling and that's where Alpina invested most of its time when developing the XB7. As the video below points out, the engine bay is different compared to the X7 M50i on which the car is based.

So with the BMW 128ti providing some surprisingly good hot-hatch dynamics, it might be able to take down the mighty GTI. Make no mistake, the new BMW 128ti isn't some hooligan hot-hatch, like a Ford Fiesta ST or a Hyundai i30 N. It's more mature, more refined than that. According to Top Gear, you can tell that BMW had one very specific benchmark for the 128ti - the Volkswagen GTI. In fact, TG says it's never driven a car that wasn't a GTI, yet felt so much like a GTI. BMW's purists might find that to be heretical, however the GTI has been the king of premium hot-hatches since its debut and Volkswagen is far more experienced in making such cars.
BMW M8 Gran Coupe Competition vs Audi RS7 Sportback
In this new comparison test from Evo Magazine, we get to see those two aforementioned super sedans go head-to-head in what might be the prettiest four-door grudge match we’ve ever seen. So which Bavarian performance sedan is best? On paper, they stack up relatively well. The BMW M8 Gran Coupe uses a 4.4 liter twin-turbo V8 to make 617 horsepower and 553 lb-ft of torque. While the Audi RS7 Sportback uses a 4.0 liter twin-turbo V8 to make 591 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque. Both cars get the same ZF eight-speed automatic gearbox, albeit with their own tuning, and Quattro all-wheel drive. So with such similar recipes, which one is the better super sedan?

BMW 4 Series Drag Races Audi A5 In 'Affordable' Coupe Showdown
This German coupe-versus-coupe race is a bit of a snoozer. On the left we have a white BMW 4 Series. On the right we have a white A5 Coupe. There are no M badges, no S badges, and while each two-door car is turbocharged, neither breaks the 200-horsepower (149 kilowatts) barrier. It's just a pair of $50,000 luxury coupes that frankly, look rather boring and quite pricey in this context.
BMW 750i Drag Races Porsche Panamera Turbo
This video from Cars with Pilot Tseno focuses purely on speed by racing a BMW 750i against a Porsche Panamera Turbo. In race one, the BMW gets a nose ahead at the start, but the Porsche is able to pull ahead. The Panamera manages to cover the quarter-mile in 11.35 seconds, and the 750i is just a bit slower at 11.95 seconds. The Porsche needs 11.35 seconds, and the BMW is at the back by taking 12.0 seconds.

Feast Your Eyes On Paul Walker's Ultra-Rare BMW M1
Currently, up for auction on Bring A Trailer, this 4,000-mile M1 is currently in California and received a series of modifications way back in 1980. A German BMW dealer called AHG performed the work with its Studie package consisting of a Procar-style body kit, custom BMW Motorsport livery, three-piece BBS wheels, a custom exhaust, and full-leather upholstery instead of the original half-fabric, half-leather. Later exported to the US, it passed through a series of private collections until 2011 and ultimately ended up as part of actor Paul Walker's garage called AE Performance that he co-owned with Roger Rodas.
BMW Announces It Will Reveal An Electric M Car In 2021
That's official news coming from the mouth of Markus Flasch, chairman of the board of BMW M. There's no official date for a reveal yet, so BMW has 11 months and some change to work with. Mi4 was a British intelligence agency, and i4 M would denote a full-M model like the X4 M or X5 M. We don't expect a full-M electric car yet, but BMW is surely working toward it. In addition to the electric M Performance car, Flasch has teased that 2022 will be an exciting year of M to celebrate 50 years of existence.
