Embrace the RAINBOW

Good morning, !
At least, it's morning over here - I'm fitting in a quick email before my kid wakes up. I'm here to tell you that the next free therapeutic art video is up on YouTube!
We're talking about COLOR as a way to talk about our emotions.
Short on time? Here's the link to the FREE tutorial.
As a professional artist, I have a hard time picking a favorite color - I like all of them! But when it comes to emotional states, I noticed I do have "favorites," like:
- Grey-Depression
- Yellow/Green-Bitterness
- Black-Cynicism
You know how after a while, your wardrobe slowly shifts to blacks and grays because it's easy, professional, and matches with everything?
Clothing ruts are one thing. When you're hurting, it also gets so. Darn. Easy. You keep wearing your "favorite" emotional colors because however harmful or helpful the emotions are, they become comfortable after a while.
But guess what? We have a choice.
We can actually begin to change the way we're feeling by "trying on" new colors, giving them a go, and noticing how we feel. And suddenly your emotional wardrobe has a few fun pops of color in it!
Because a healthy, whole life embraces the whole spectrum of human emotion.
In this simple beginner project, we'll identify our current emotional state and then begin to work towards our ideal emotional colors, using just a blank piece of paper and colored markers.
I invite you to make something with me! (Project takes about 40 minutes, minimal supplies, great for beginners.)
Make sure you hit the YouTube subscribe button! I'll be releasing these videos every week this summer, and I don't want you to miss it.
I can't wait to hear how this project goes for you! Let me know what you learn!
