My car's MOT just taught me something about your health

I'm in a coffee shop right now, just waiting for my car. It's nearly 100,000 miles on the clock and in for its annual MOT.
Even with good maintenance, the bills are starting to creep up. And with all those miles, the wear and tear on my car is starting to show.
But as I sit here, it hit me.
We're obsessed with keeping our cars roadworthy, booking that MOT appointment without fail.
We know it's the law, we know it keeps us safe, and we know that catching problems early is cheaper than a catastrophic breakdown.
So we do it, no questions asked.
But when it comes to our own health, we tend to wait until something is wrong before getting checked out.
We ignore the warning signs and tell ourselves we're "too busy" for a checkup when we're not actively sick.
And then we wonder why, when we finally do see someone, the bill is massive, and the recovery is painful.
Here's what I've realised: cars that sit idle deteriorate. So do our bodies.
A car needs regular use, regular checks, and preventative maintenance to stay reliable.
Your body works the same way.
You need daily movement, not just when you're training hard, but genuinely moving every single day.
And you need regular checks to catch what you can't see or feel. Not because something's wrong, but because prevention beats repair, every single time.
The people who depend on you, your family, your colleagues, and your future self need you to be reliable.
They need you to be roadworthy. And that means treating your health like you treat your car's MOT: as a non-negotiable, annual checkpoint.
So here's what I'm doing. I'm piloting a Health MOT (UK only) for the new year, and I'm looking for 10–20 people to be part of it.
Here's how it works:
👉 A nurse visits your home and takes blood.
👉 Then I will send you a clear video walkthrough of your results and a practical action plan tailored to you.
I'm not a GP. If anything looks risky, I'll point you straight to your doctor. But for most people, you'll get clarity, peace of mind, and a roadmap for the year ahead.
I'm offering this at a discounted rate in exchange for your feedback and testimonials. It's a genuine pilot, and I want to get it right.
Interested?
Reply to this email with the word HEALTH, and let's get you booked in.
And if you want ongoing support beyond a one-off check?
Your body's worth the investment.
Talk soon,
Neil
P.S. Stay tuned to see whether my car passes or fails today.
