Guess What Happened on Our 70-Mile Cycling Adventure?

Hey

You're not going to believe the day I just had. I've got to tell you all about it - grab a coffee and get ready for an adventure!

Picture this: the sun's shining, the birds are chirping, and I'm itching to hit the road. What's a cyclist to do? Grab some buddies and go for an epic ride, that's what!

So there I was, teaming up with my cycling partners in crime, Paul and Jamie. We decided to tackle a whopping 70 miles around Kent. Yeah, you heard that right - 70 miles! Talk about a leg-burner, am I right?

Kent's not your average flat countryside, oh no. It's got some serious climbs that'll make your quads scream for mercy. And the crown jewel of these climbs? Pains Hill. With a max gradient of 16.9%, it's not called "Pains" for nothing!

But here's the kicker - it was my second time up that beast, and guess what? I smashed it! Yep, yours truly nabbed a personal best. How's that for a surprise twist?

Now, you might be thinking, "Hold up, didn't you just do Ride London?" Well, you'd be right on the money! But let me tell you, there's nothing like getting back in the saddle and feeling those miles tick away under your wheels.

The weather was absolutely gorgeous - picture-perfect, postcard-worthy beautiful. The kind of day that makes you never want to stop pedalling.

As I was cruising along, soaking in the sunshine and the scenery, it hit me like a ton of bricks. Do you want to know the secret sauce to crush your cycling goals? It's not just about the bike, the training, or even the weather. Nope, it's about the people you surround yourself with.

Think about it. Would I have pushed myself to conquer Pains Hill if Paul and Jamie weren't there, cheering me on? Would I have even attempted a 70-mile ride so soon after Ride London if I didn't have my cycling buddies to keep me accountable?

Having friends around you to support you really helps you to keep motivated and accountable. It's like having your own personal cheering squad, pushing you to be your best self. They're there to celebrate your victories, no matter how small, and to pick you up when you're feeling down.

But here's the million-dollar question: where do you find these amazing cycling buddies? Where's the secret clubhouse of motivated, supportive cyclists hiding?
