There are many ways to replace a sponge retaining bar for a knitting machine. The easiest way is to buy a whole new sponge bar including the metal channel and the sponge. The second way is to buy just the sponge, and fix it to your old metal channel. You can also buy weather proofing sponge strips from hardware stores, and iron on an interface on one side.
