It's a big month for me! Once I get past September, I'll be able to breathe a little bit. I took on too much this year, and as a rapid romance writer, I've been drowning in work, but I am getting caught up. Finally! But because this year was so much, I've pushed back my books on their release days to give me more breathing room. Plus, my house needs cleaning 🤣.

Just the sight of Nico ‘Stix’ Jamieson makes me want to hurt something. Between his stupid smiles on that annoyingly handsome face and the constant drumming of anything that makes a sound with those drumsticks of his, I want to throttle him. No one is that happy. For a couple of seconds there, I was in meltdown mode, which wasn’t the first time when it came to Stone. My body and brain completely shorted out, especially when Stone shoved his tongue into my mouth before I came to my f**king senses. I didn’t know where I got my strength from when I pushed Stone off me. He had a good several inches in height on me and was broad and muscular. But f**k him. I was already madder than hell, and for him to kiss me like that? Who the f**k did he think he was? Of course, I chose to ignore how much my d**k liked it. F**king traitor. This was the problem with having the hots for my damn enemy.

At least he quickly backed off. In fact, he looked downright confused, mingled with shock, in his wide hazel eyes. And before I told him off or… f**king kissed him back, he stormed off and took all the oxygen with him as I bent over and panted for a moment, trying to clear my head.

Well, that was different. And unexpected.
