Hi Friends!
It's been a hot minute since I did a newsletter. Authors are supposed to build their newsletters because one day we may have to rely on other forms of communication if we lose social media. But thinking about anything beyond writing has been hard. Writing is my escape. Everything else has just been stress.
To be vulnerable, the state of my country has left me morally hurting and my heart aches for what it's become. I do what I can to help fight it, but I'm a tiny needle at the bottom of the ocean. It makes you feel helpless while everything else has been losing its meaning. But we have to keep on moving, right? Keep putting one foot in front of the other. We have to work. We have to pay our bills. We have to take care of our families. So, we keep working and doing all that we can.
Writing is my escape, and it's keeping me grounded. I'm trying to stay on top of everything else regarding work, but I also want to give myself some grace and allow myself to take breaks if I need them.
