Hey Friend!
It's been a hot minute since I’ve written a newsletter. I hope you haven't forgotten about me and unsubscribe 😅. It's been four years since I’ve been back in the social media world after being offline for two straight years. I've been running non-stop since. I’m not sure I’ve taken one day off from work, even while on vacation. Then, after the whole queer bookish community on social media exploded and created a division I hadn't seen since… maybe ever, I'm tired on top of everything else that's happening in the world. If you're like me, you feel like being online sucks the life out of you. At the same time, I’d never have a voice without it.
Why am I talking about this? I don't know. It's not like I'm going anywhere, but I wonder if people feel the same sometimes. I don't really socialize on social media. I use it mostly for work because anything beyond that can be overwhelming for me. With that, I'm going to put off a book I had planned to work on. Maybe I'll write it. Perhaps I won't. I've finished Cueball's story, and it's in the hands of my beta readers. However, after that, I'm only producing one more, which is part of a Christmas collaboration. I just need some breathing room to focus on other aspects of my business... and maybe do some personal things that I've put aside. This is also why I haven't produced a newsletter in a long while.
In other news, the United States stripped away the suicide hotline for the LGBTQ+ because they're cruel bastards. If anyone is hurting, there are others you can reach out to for support.
I have a lot of news, so I hope you stick it out.
