Hey Friend!
Well, it's been a while since I sent out a newsletter! Almost a month to the day. It's been very busy. Over the holidays, I headed back to my old stomping grounds in Virginia, close to DC with my family. We were there too long, but honestly, I didn't write at all. While I missed it, because I love writing, and it was hard to get back on track, it was a nice break as well.
We brought my son's girlfriend with us since she'd never been to DC and took her sightseeing, which was fun. We hit the U.S. Capitol, Natural History Museum, and the National Gallery of Art. We also took a trip to Middleburg, VA, a very old colonial town on New Years Day. She had a great time and we adore her. My son couldn't have found a better girlfriend.
I fell on Christmas even and landed on my arm, so that was fun. It still hurts, but as long as I can type!
I hope everyone had a great holiday and New Years. Here in the U.S. things feel a bit dark and looming. I hope we are overreacting, but only time will tell. In the meantime, I'll keep doing what I'm doing.
