Hello !
Do you think it's possible for a book to be cursed? ๐
I have to admit, I'm starting to wonder. A Home in You is a book that I made myself write to get out of my comfort zone and do something different, but since last summer when I started it, it seemed that everything has gone wrong. No other book I've written has suffered so much lol.
To add insult to injury, Amazon decided it was going to cancel all my pre-orders and shut the book down, claiming I never uploaded my manuscript, which I did. This is an all too common occurrence for indie authors and Amazon. I lost a lot of sales yesterday.
What is the silver lining in all this? Two things:
- I got to get my book out early to everyone. It is out four days early. This has been a highly-anticipated book, or so I've been told lol, and I get to put it out there for everyone. Because I had to reload the eBook, it had to go live. So here we are! We are LIVE, baby!
- You don't realize how supportive authors and the bookish community are (and they are always supportive) until they learn another author has been dumped on by Amazon. So many of them have come through and supported me in the best of ways. Sharing content, liking, and spreading the word. It's because of them that will help me get out of this hole I found myself suddenly in. So here is a thank you to all of them.
