I'm trying something new, and it has nothing to do with how excited I am about my next book, The Healer. 😁 It has some amazing tropes, and therein lies my problem. I love WAY too many tropes. I went from A Home in You, which was a sweet love story that spanned over several years to stories coming up that are going to be much darker. And I have to be real with myself; I prefer darker-themed romances. I love sweet too, but after a while, I need something gritty.

The Healer sample is from Chapter 10. After much bumbling around each other in the clinic, nurses José and Jonas are faced with an emergency, and we finally get to see them working together without constantly running into each other. Their meet-cute wasn't so cute. That's not to say there isn't interest or sexual tension. Once the emergency is over, gentle giant and shy Jonas, who's still in the closet, finally gets bold and asks José out on a date.
