Who knew I'd love writing sports romances?

Hello !
Phew, His Death Bringer was a whirlwind! And readers seem to be enjoying my darker side! š And there's more to come! But for now, onward!
While I try not to sweat to death in this heat and drought, I stay inside and write and work, and write and work. I did go on vacation, though. My family and I spent a week in Oregon and Washington state, and I've decided I want to move out of Texas and live in an area with cooler temps. Maybe one day!
For now, let me introduce you to The Boxer, book two from Knights of Boston. My first sports romance, but it's oh so much more than that. It's about slow burning and best friends. About a boxer and his trainer/manager. They're so sweet. Keep reading below for more.
Also, coming up, I'm part of a team of authors who have put together a Halloween anthology called Once Upon a Halloween Night. It's about parties, spookiness, and finding love. Let me tell you, my Xander and Greyson are the sweetest couple I've ever written and the banter... I loved them. Keep on reading for more.

Did you know that all my books in a series can be read as standalone?
He was my first crush. My forever crush. He was the reason I discovered my true self.
Ferguson
I met Jack Hogan at fifteen years old when my dad took me to watch him box in an underground fight run by the mob. I was instantly drawn to the older man and the reason I discovered I was gay. But that was my secret and burden to bear. A year later, tragedy hit when my parents were murdered, leaving me gutted. Losing my father, who had taught me how to box since I was big enough to throw my first punch, turned me bitter and angry. Jack quickly took up the mantle as a father figure and my best friend while I used boxing to blow off my rage. Years later, Jack pushed me to get out of the underground scene and go pro with him as my manager. After my first win, I finally got to have a taste of Jack, and while it strained our friendship, I craved more. One taste wasnāt nearly enough.
Jack
Ferguson Mulligan thought he could hide his attraction for me. I had known it for years but kept it to myself. I was emotionally unavailable, clinging to another man whom I thought loved me. As nine years progressed, Fergs grew into a man with an amazing talent for boxing. I knew he could succeed at it, so I got him out of the illegal fight scene and into the professional world of boxing. After a night of celebration and too many drinks, I dropped my walls and went to a place I shouldnāt have. I hadnāt been ready to be with anyone else intimately, especially with my best friend. Plus, I was his manager. It was a bad idea all around. But that night awakened something in me, allowing me to see Fergs beyond a boxer and my best friend. I just wasnāt ready. He deserved all of me, not broken pieces.
The two men eventually let go of their fears to grow something deep and meaningful. But could their relationship survive when Fergs finally learned who killed his parents? With a need for vengeance and his temper out of control, it could destroy all they had worked for.

Whoās going to catch me when I fall?
Evan
Everything has been taken from me. My home, my family, and the love of my life. Raising a child on my own isnāt how I envisioned my young life full of hopes and dreams. Now, my youth is gone, too. I had been drowning with no way out until him. The one man I didnāt expect to hold my head above water. Simon had married my aunt to hide his secrets, but heās not afraid of who he is any longer and is now living a single life. Heās a life force and my savior when I was all alone in the dark. But heās become more than just my former uncle, and I want him.
Simon
It was only supposed to be for two weeks to help Evan out as he grieved while trying to care for a newborn. His aunt couldnāt get away, so I stepped in. But he needed more of my time. And during those couple of weeks, I remembered what it was like to have a family and to be part of something important. So, I uprooted my life in New York and moved back to our small town to help Evan and the baby. But everything has become so much more than that. I shouldnāt want him. Not only is he so much younger, but he used to be my nephew. Our families hate us enough, and I just canāt do that to Evan.

CHECK OUT THIS!
A pining drummer and a snarky sound engineer have been walking around each other for months...
Heggartyās Bow drummer, Mordant, sticks firmly to the adage ādonāt screw the crew.ā Heās seen bands crash and burn over something like that before, and heād rather not risk the band dynamic. However, he knows heās attracted to the charms of Pink the sound engineer, and heād determined to keep him at a distance. Heās got no interest in becoming just a notch on his bedpost, anyhow.
Pink is surprised and a bit hurt that Mordant makes no secret of avoiding him like the plague. Mordantās a quiet, laid-back guy most of the time, but he only interacts with Pink to criticize his work. Pinkās decided itās best to just try to ignore him. Heās got enough history with moody blokes that he doesnāt need to take on any more trouble. He just needs to get on with things.
When one of Pinkās ex shoves him, and he falls down the stairs at work, though, heās surprised to find Mordant the one who volunteers to take care of him. Mordant is surprised as well. Where will the two of them go from here?
