Hello !

I'm so excited to be going on vacation finally. It's only for a few days, but working such long hours and on so many projects, my fire is burning out lol. This should hopefully recharge me!

When I say, I have a lot of projects... I have a LOT of projects! My beta readers just wrapped up His Death Bringer, and they LOVED it! It's dark and edgy! The Boxer - Knights of Boston is about to go to my beta readers after wrapping up with my alpha readers. I'm working on a secret project with another author (announcement next newsletter). Then I'm running a secret collaboration with seven other authors, writing my next story, AND I'm about to start on a Halloween Anthology. Halloween? Wasn't it just recently Christmas? Phew!

When His Death Bringer is released, I have a little special treat for my readers, a second epilogue for my boys that I think you'll love, and it will be FREE!

He calls me his dark angel, but I’m merely a killer. A bringer of death.

Luca Davenport

He is my angel, sent to be my death bringer to save me from my tormentors and betrayers—those who sold me into slavery when I was only eight years old. Angel came in with guns blazing and black wings that were made to crush his enemies and envelope me in love. He belongs to me, and I belong to him. We are destined. After he saves me from my captors, we hunt down the remaining men who had abused me for eleven years to make them pay in blood.

Dante Varga

He is a broken boy of no more than nineteen. He sees me as an angel, but I’m simply a killer. An assassin for hire. I can’t save him. I can’t take care of him. There’s no room left in my dying soul to care about someone. Not anymore. But I can’t turn him away either. I should kill him. He’s a witness. But I feel compelled to protect him at all costs. Saving him will either shatter the ice around my heart or destroy me. Either way, Luca is dangerous.

Luca had been lying on the couch with his head on my lap before he fell asleep on his back, clutching his damn stuffed rabbit. He’d been keeping it in his room more, but at night, he seemed to need it.

Speaking of normalcy, or maybe it was weirdness, I stared at his youthful features. His blond locks were getting longer, but I couldn’t bring myself to chop them off. The curls fell back, away from his serene face with fluttering eyes from a dream. His full lips were pouty, and he had a cute button nose and beautiful cheekbones.

My hand rested on his chest, feeling the gentle rise and fall of his breathing. I lifted my fingers to gently trace the outlines of his face, then I delicately combed back his soft curls as I worried that maybe I was ruining him. He wasn’t innocent, yet he was. He knew all about the world of sex but little else.

Seeing him kick that asshole tonight made me proud, but I felt maybe my training him would take away something that I shouldn’t be taking. The last thing I wanted was for him to turn into me. Hard. Cold. Nothingness. Luca was light, warmth, and sunshine. I didn’t want to dim him. It wasn’t that he was always happy or positive. Sometimes he could be downright morose or pensive. Who could blame him after all he’d been through? Yet, there was also something uplifting about him. That no matter the horridness he had to endure, it didn’t quite break him.

To make matters worse, he was rebuilding my soul in a way I always thought was impossible. Luca was becoming my addiction. An addiction of love and healing.

He was my first crush. My forever crush. He was the reason I discovered my true self.

Ferguson

I met Jack Hogan at fifteen years old when my dad took me to watch him box in an underground fight run by the mob. I was instantly drawn to the older man and the reason I discovered I was gay. But that was my secret and burden to bear. A year later, tragedy hit when my parents were murdered, leaving me gutted. Losing my father, who had taught me how to box since I was big enough to throw my first punch, turned me bitter and angry. Jack quickly took up the mantle as a father figure and my best friend while I used boxing to blow off my rage. Years later, Jack pushed me to get out of the underground scene and go pro with him as my manager. After my first win, I finally got to have a taste of Jack, and while it strained our friendship, I craved more. One taste wasn’t nearly enough.

Jack

Ferguson Mulligan thought he could hide his attraction for me. I had known it for years but kept it to myself. I was emotionally unavailable, clinging to another man whom I thought loved me. As nine years progressed, Fergs grew into a man with an amazing talent for boxing. I knew he could succeed at it, so I got him out of the illegal fight scene and into the professional world of boxing. After a night of celebration and too many drinks, I dropped my walls and went to a place I shouldn’t have. I hadn’t been ready to be with anyone else intimately, especially with my best friend. Plus, I was his manager. It was a bad idea all around. But that night awakened something in me, allowing me to see Fergs beyond a boxer and my best friend. I just wasn’t ready. He deserved all of me, not broken pieces.

The two men eventually let go of their fears to grow something deep and meaningful. But could their relationship survive when Fergs finally learned who killed his parents? With a need for vengeance and his temper out of control, it could destroy all they had worked for.

🥊 Second chances 🥊 slow burn 🥊 boxing 🥊 best friends to lovers 🥊 hurt/comfort 🥊 age gap 🥊 pining 🥊 one that nearly got away 🥊close proximity 🥊 work together 🥊 fighter/trainer

The Boxer - Knights of Boston - Book 2: Jack's POV from Chapter 19

And please note that this hasn't been edited yet.

F**k, the crowd was absolutely wild with Fergs’ win, and he was getting them riled up even more, raising his glove fists in the air and yelling into the crowd. It was awe-inspiring to see. Amazing. My f**king beast. I slipped under the ropes and ran to him, and to my surprise, he turned to face me and lifted me off my feet. I was not used to being manhandled, especially since I wasn’t exactly a small man myself, but Fergs had been doing that a lot lately.

Soon, his lips landed on mine, and he kissed me for everyone to see. The crowd saw it on the big screens, and the world saw it on television. He literally told the world I was his. If that wasn’t a massive declaration of love, I didn’t know what was.

When he pulled away with a stupid grin on his face full of plastic green from his mouthguard, he said, “Get over the sweat and blood. I needed that.”

I wiped said sweat and blood off my mouth and face with the back of my hand because, seriously, it was gross. “You realize the world just saw you kiss your manager.”

“So? Let them. They need to know you’re mine and that I love you. They already know we’re both gay, so they can get the f**k over it.”
