What chasing “more” really cost me

Hey -
There was a season when I believed that one more thing would finally make life feel peaceful. A purse, a new dress, a kitchen gadget that promised a fresh start.
Each small purchase brought a moment of excitement, then the quiet ache returned. I wasn’t chasing things, I was chasing peace.
It took years to see it clearly. Every “yes” to something new was a quiet “no” to my peace. I thought I was managing money, but really, my spending was managing me.
In this week’s journal entry, The Cost of Chasing More, I share what that season taught me, how my pursuit of more left me restless, and how contentment began the moment I stopped running from stillness.
If you’ve been craving calm in the middle of life’s noise, I think you’ll find yourself in these words.
