Mastering WordPress websites

Hi ,

For a long time I struggled with understanding how WordPress worked. It was a mystery to me about how to add in a blog post, or what a featured image is, or how to optimize my website for better visibility. I never wanted to build my own websites, but I've had clients who really do want to do that to save themselves money. Or maybe just because they wanted to learn it and understand it for themselves.

Anyway, if you could use a do-it yourself website creation checklist you can head right over to my long-time friend Christina Hills and grab a copy. (That's my own affiliate link.) For years now Christina has been teaching people how to create their own websites. But my deal is, even if you don't want to do that (I don't) the checklist helps you figure out what you need to pull together to hand off to a website designer.

Christina will be sharing more goodies in the coming weeks, and I'll try to keep you posted. Eventually, she will offer her own very well-known Website Creation Workshop. It might be for you, or not. But in the meanwhile I know you will learn a lot about how to best use your website with her freebies.

When I was first starting out I drove a web designer (not my current one) absolutely crazy because I had no clue at all what she needed to do her job effectively for me. See, it's not up to a website designer to write your copy or narrow down what you plan to sell. That's up to you, and needs to be decided ahead of time. Or, what your blog topics (categories) should be. And that's just for starters!

By the way, did you see my newest article over at suepainter.com about finding your purpose? If you've been wondering about that this article is for you!

To your sweet success,
