Hey, friend! It's me again!
February is here, can you believe it? The older I get the more I understand what all the "old people" around meant when they said The days are long, but the years are short. I guess I'm the old people now!
So why am I here? It's our first of the month check-in, and I'm a nosy creature. I want to know how you've been! What are the highlights from January? The good and the bad; were there lows you need to process or highs you want to brag about? It's never lip-service when I say I want to know. I might radiate villain energy, but I promise I'm a villain with soft edges and a good heart.
I've got some things to tell you!
While I was busy planning world domination, I made some boss moves. Including:
- Signing up for newsletter builders with the lovely Courtney Cannon. If you're interested in growing your newsletters or social spaces, as an author, you should check her out!
- Polishing up my lectures for OWFI (I'll link you below, if you're interested in attending that conference)
- Finishing another novel (it's a hot mess right now, but that's Future Collette's problem)
- Editing a novel that I hope to have ready to go for my readers ASAP
- Learning about optimizing my site (a huge win since I'm not great at technology)
- Working on digital painting for my covers (I might yeet the tablet, we will see)
As you can tell, my January was a wild ride without including all of the personal chaos that is still happening with my grandmother. Each gray hair I get has her name on them so I will love them (but also cover them since I'm vain). I am looking forward to whatever February brings. Are you?
