Happy Holidays and New Year, friend!
I hope it's been a good one! Mine was lazy and has been spent drinking boozy hot chocolate spiced with Rumchata. My kids, though grown, still enjoy that holiday magic. My dogs enjoy it more; they love the glitter and all the extra treats!
I was trying to get a holiday-themed story ready for this gift. However, my new circumstances with my grandmother have me wildly behind schedule. So, I decided to give you a taste of the things I submitted to a few contests (I don't hope to win. Often, I enter to help fund non-profit writing spaces that I believe in, and if I win one, that's the cherry on top.). I'm not sure if I will win this one (I'm setting up this email before the announcement for one.) Rest assured, I've got some harsh beta-readers (if you'd like to be one shoot me a reply, I'm always looking to expand my team of beta-readers and ARC readers) and those readers enjoyed the spice!
I hope your New Year is full of good vibes, happiness, and magic! 2023 is going to be a great year! I've got a stack of manuscripts I plan to publish this year (after those traumatic pandemonium years where they sat rotting and collecting dust)! I hope you're ready for all the mythological retellings, the omegaverse spice, reimagined dark fairytales, and, as always, HOT monster boyfriends (mostly werewolves because I have a problem)!
