🖊️ Intro

All our hard work browsing with the brave browser paid off last week!

If you didn't know, the Brave Browser (like Google Chrome but better) pays you in cryptocurrency for allowing them to serve you small ads periodically. This is optional of course, but they don't really bother me so why not.

Each month, there is a small payout (usually $2 - $3 USD worth) of BAT coin into your wallet. The only issue is you can't create a wallet until you have $25 USD worth (although Craig found a workaround for this). I hit that mark last week, so was able to create an Uphold wallet and transfer my BAT coins into there.

From there I can transfer them somewhere else, leave them alone, or convert them to another coin. I converted them to Ether on Craig's advice. I'm pretty new to the crypto game, so let's see where it takes me.

🍗 Somebody Feed Phil (Netflix)

Need a pick me up, watch this Netflix show. We started watching this while in lockdown last year, and boy were we glad we did. Phil Rosenthal is the creator of the show "Everybody Loves Raymond". This show follows Phil as he travels the world meeting people and as you probably guessed eating food. It is hilarious and will fill the void left by not being able to travel globally.

🪙 Uphold

Want to get started with cryptocurrency. I started with uphold. It lets you buy and sell cryptocurrencies and more. My impressions so far is that it's pretty slick and makes the whole job of purchasing crypto painless.

🖨️ Publer

If you like the idea of bulk scheduling your social media, then Publer might be a tool you want to check out. It lets you load up your posts to all your social media channels and send them out on a schedule of your choosing. There's a host of other cool features as well, and they are always bringing in new tools.

😎 What we're up to

I love optimising every part of my digital life. One way I do this is by periodically culling things. This could be apps on my phone I don't use, Facebook acquaintances, Instagram accounts that are distracting me or YouTube channels that are clickbaity. I try to do this weekly, even if it only is for 10 minutes.

By doing this, I'm making sure that the time I do spend on my devices delivers more quality and value and not just mindless scrolling.

One app I deleted from my phone was Facebook. I find that when it's on my phone, I tend to open it up and scroll until I forgot why I opened it in the first place. By deleting it, there's no temptation to open it again.
