Bring a pencil and some paper and join a community of writers. Use the time to work on a project or join in on the prompts and games provided. The group meets every Monday night at 6:00 pm in the library history room.

Here at the Clear Lake Public Library, we like to provide programming that caters to a wide range of interests and schedules. Book Chat is one of our four book clubs. It meets at noon on the third Tuesday of the month and discusses the same book each month as the Books on Tap Book Club. This month's pick is Population: 485 by Michael Perry. Next month, the group will be reading and discussing Amor Towles' The Lincoln Highway.

Little Learners up to age 5 and their families are invited to join us at a local park for story time each Wednesday at 10:30a.m. Story time consists of stories, body movement activities, songs, and rhymes, helping children grow the skills they need to become lifelong readers. Feel free to stay after and play and make new friends!

Books on Tap Book Club meets on the third Wednesday each month at 6:00 pm at Lake Time Brewery for a change of scenery. This month's pick is Population: 485 by Michael Perry. Next month, the group will be reading and discussing Amor Towles' The Lincoln Highway.

Bring your fiber-based projects to work on for an hour of chatting, coffee, and creativity. It can be anything from crochet or knitting to macrame or needlepoint.

At The Library After School (ATLAS) is an after-school program consisting of read-aloud stories, exploring the library, crafts, and activities. The program will run weekly on Thursdays from 3:30-5:00pm starting January 12 – March 2 & March 30 – May 18. Registration is limited! Please stop by the children's desk at the library to sign up your child(ren).

Join our Youth Services Librarian each Friday for a one-on-one program with bouncing rhymes, books, bubbles, music, and group play just for our youngest patrons. This program is designed for ages birth to 24 months with a parent or caregiver. Feel free to stay after to make new friends!

Could you imagine a dinosaur at a tea party? Whether you love dinosaurs, tea parties, or both, join us for a fun morning at the library celebrating with games, crafts, and of course, snacks. Dressing up (as a dinosaur or in tea party attire) is encouraged! Registration is required -- please let us know about any food allergies when registering.
Saturday, January 21st starting at 1:00 pm
Participate in the ultimate Mario Kart Tournament at the Clear Lake Public Library! Compete against your peers, enjoy some snacks, and just have fun! This FREE program is for grades 6-12.
