Here's your weekly reminder that the library is so much more than a storehouse for books! We are active almost every day with engaging programs and opportunities to meet new people. Can't find a program that suits your interests or needs? Let us know and we'll see what we can come up with! As your library, we aim to provide you with opportunities that are worth your while.

Monday, February 13th

Monday, February 13th at 5:00 pm

Families are invited to join us at the library for an open house family night focused on STEAM: Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math! Story Time will be held at 5:30 and 6:30 p.m. All activities are free and open to the public.

Monday, February 13th at 6:00 pm

Bring a pencil and some paper and join a community of writers. Use the time to work on a project or join in on the prompts and games provided. The group meets every Monday night at 6:00 pm in the library history room.



Tuesday, February 14th

Library Lego® Club is back! It will be held on the 2nd Tuesday of the month from September through May. The program runs from 3:30 – 5:00 p.m. and will be an open-build structure with sharing time at the end. Registration is limited! Stop by the children’s department to fill out the registration form!



Wednesday, February 15th

Little Learners up to age 5 and their families are invited to join us at a local park for story time each Wednesday at 10:30a.m. Story time consists of stories, body movement activities, songs, and rhymes, helping children grow the skills they need to become lifelong readers. Feel free to stay after and play and make new friends!

Wednesday, February 15th at 3:00 pm

Join us weekly on Wednesday afternoons for a scheduled play date at the library! Meet other families with young children, explore the play area, and enjoy 'special story time toys' in the meeting room. All are welcome!

Wednesday, February 15th at 6:00 pm

The Books on Tap Book Chat group will meet at Lake Time Brewery Wednesday February 15 at 6:00pm to discuss The Lincoln Highway. In June, 1954, Emmett Watson is driven home by the warden of the work farm where he has just served a year for involuntary manslaughter. His mother long gone, his father recently deceased, and the family farm foreclosed. Emmett’s intention is to pick up his eight-year-old brother and head west. But when the warden drives away, Emmett discovers that two friends from the work farm have hidden themselves in the trunk of the warden’s car. Together, they have hatched an all together different plan.

Thursday, February 16th at 1:00 pm

Join us on the first and third Thursdays of the month for Coffee and Creativity! Bring a project to work on, share tips and patterns, chat with fellow crafters, and drink coffee all in a relaxing afternoon at the library. The coffee and some coloring supplies are provided.

Thursday, February 16th from 3:30 - 5:00 pm

At The Library After School (ATLAS) is an after-school program consisting of read-aloud stories, exploring the library, crafts, and activities. The program will run weekly on Thursdays from 3:30-5:00pm starting January 12 – March 2 & March 30 – May 18. Registration is limited! Please stop by the children's desk at the library to sign up your child(ren).

Thursday, February 16th at 6:00 pm

Come to the library for the all-new book club led by Bennett Smith! The first pick is Hoover: An Extraordinary Life in Extraordinary Times by Kenneth Whyte. Join in on the discussion on Thursday, February 16th at 6:00 pm. Didn't have time to read the book? Stop by anyway to see what this new book chat is all about!



Friday, February 17th

Join our Youth Services Librarian each Friday for a one-on-one program with bouncing rhymes, books, bubbles, music, and group play just for our youngest patrons. This program is designed for ages birth to 24 months with a parent or caregiver. Feel free to stay after to make new friends!



Saturday, February 18th

Attempt to escape at the Clear Lake Library once again in this all-new escape room designed for teenagers! Find clues and solve puzzles before time runs out. Can you escape? This is a drop-in event for teens in grades 6-12.
