Love Your Library!

If you stopped in at the library toward the end of last week, you might have noticed something new sitting in the lobby. It's our Giving Tree in honor of National Love Your Library Month!

image

Here's how it works: the tree is decorated with hearts that each have a different item written on them. If you choose to participate, you can select a heart and donate the item listed on it. You would bring the item back to the library along with the donation form that's on the back of the heart. We only ask that donated items are new or like new so that the gift can be used and appreciated for a long time!

Want to know how you can love your library without donating? There are plenty of ways to show your love and support to your library, but the best is simple -- just stop in and say hi!

A dystopia is a society in which there is great suffering or injustice. In our dystopian book club, you will get the opportunity to discuss a wide variety of imagined societies and how they may even reflect our own. This month, we are discussing Margaret Atwood's The Handmaid's Tale. Next month's pick is Slaughterhouse-Five by Kurt Vonnegut. If you're interested, feel free to stop by the library and pick up a copy!
