Mulberries Discovered

My husband and I have lived in our current abode for over a decade now, which probably means we're getting old. 👩‍🦳👴 As much as you might imagine me noticing every useful plant on our property due to my love of gardening, last year I found out there's a mulberry tree along our driveway. My dad identified it by its leaves when he visited us last summer, so this spring I've been waiting excitedly to see whether it would get berries...and what color they'd be.

Well it turns out they're white mulberries! The above photo is somewhat blurry, but I'll assure you the mulberries taste exactly like they should. And as it turns out, our primary tree had a child at some point, because last weekend I noticed a smaller mulberry tree a short distance away from its parent. And the smaller one has TINY white mulberries on it! 🤩

So all these years I've missed out on enjoying our mulberries, but not anymore. Now we've got some juicy fruits to savor during the month of May. 🤍 Do you have any mulberry trees in your yard, or any other sorts of wild berries? Send me a reply and let me know!
