Now that we've made it through the wildness of the Stuff Your E-Reader event, things are settling down into an autumn of renewed creativity. Yes, as a reader I grabbed about 20 new stories during the event. And as an author I gawked in amazement while readers snagged their copies of Gift of Air.

What thrilled me the most was watching the downloads on dashboards aside from Kindle. It's so incredible to see readers from all over the world discovering the Teutonic Fantasy Realm for the first time! 🤩

While I realize events promoting over 2,000 free books can be overwhelming for some readers, now you can see the power of indie authors coming together to help each other out. The Stuff Your E-Reader event is possible through author collaboration, not through any retailer push, and it touches my heart to know readers will get to discover stories they may have never found otherwise.

So What Comes Next?

October is almost here, and it's looking great for the deal-seekers among us. Several freebie book events are happening later in October, plus an all-new opportunity for binge readers frustrated about all those indie books they can't get on Kindle Unlimited. One of my fellow authors has set up a website and newsletter to promote the Kobo Plus subscription program—the place where the majority of those non-KU indie books tend to hide.

How About Those Writing Muses?

In case you haven't already guessed, I've just started working on what will be Book 5 in the Elemental Bloodlines series. This one's set to begin a handful of years after Gift of Water concludes, and most of the story takes place in the fictional village of Wildertal—which means we'll get to reconnect with a bunch of our favorite characters from earlier books in the series!

Book 5 stars Karl—a Teuton priest who's made a lot of mistakes—and a windy witch who stole a piece of his heart years ago. Their own choices drew them apart, but now they're reconnecting in hopes of igniting that mysterious flame of love. But life's trials have damaged them both, so their second chance won't exactly be a walk in the park.

Especially since their friends have decided it's time to reform the asylum for mentally ill Teutons. 👀

Lots of our favorite witchy and priestly friends will be teaming up in this story. From Lady Ilsa and her good friend Nelke—to Doro and Amira—plus Zehra, Henning, and several other Teutons from Erlangen.

What about Teya and her undead husband? Will they make an appearance?

Hmmmmm....

You'll just have to wait and see. 😉
