I'd like to offer a heartfelt greeting to C.L. Carhart's friendly readers. She asked me to write this newsletter to tell you all about a pair of sizzling giveaways that just started TODAY. In case we haven't met before, my name is Astrid Felder. I'm what you'd call a "side character" in C.L. Carhart's forthcoming novel, Gift of Fire. But whether you, as a reader, realize this or not, I do have my own tale of forbidden love floating in the confines of my memory. A tale that has no happy ending.
Not yet, at least.

In the process, I gradually awakened my element—the mystical winter snow—by mating with a variety of Teuton partners. Many of them attempted to stir my heart, but to this day, it longs for only one.
