Today we've got the Instalove Book Blast locked and loaded. A one day event chock full of quick reads that just might settle your urge for that fictional version of love that "just works." 💕 Instalove might be fantasy in our mundane world, but quite a few of us authors like to imagine how sweet and sexy life might be if love at first sight could actually work. 😃 Click the graphic below to browse a collection of over 100 instalove novellas in a variety of subgenres.
I see lots of steamy contemporary awaiting their next reader. Plus some cowboy romances, sports romances, mafia romances, a handful of sweet romances, and my favorite—fantasy romance and paranormal. 🔮
If you haven't snagged your copy of Gift of Light yet, why not nab it from the Instalove Book Blast. Helena's love story will be going back to full price on June 1st, so bargain hunters? This is your moment. Be sure to show all the other indie authors some love and check out their books as well!
If you'd rather not hunt through all of the books, you can get Gift of Light at your favorite retailer here:

Premade Cover Obsession
So last week I promised I'd finally reveal what projects I'm currently working on whenever I sit down at my laptop to summon the writing muses. Yes, there's a brand new series in the works. Yes, it takes place in the Teutonic Fantasy Realm just like all of my published books thus far.
The hope is to have Book 1 out there on the retailers by mid-June. 🥳
Now for some background info.
If you've been hanging out on my newsletter since I first started it back in April 2022 (w.o.w. has it really been two whole YEARS at this point?!?!?!), you might know that I published my debut novel, Arcane Gateway, in March 2021.
What you might not know is that unlike some newbie indie authors who think they're suuuuuuuper good at graphic design, that's one thing I'm 100% certain I suck at. Horrifically. So for each book release, I budget out a handful of funds to pay a professional artist to design my cover arts.
All of the main novels in both of my series have cover arts by J. L. Wilson Designs. She's a very talented artist who's a joy to work with, and she specializes in the genres of fantasy and sci-fi. So if you've been working on that book of yours for years and you're almost at the point of publishing but you KNOW nobody will buy your book if you slap some cover art together in MS Paint, well.... Check out J. L. Wilson Designs. 💖
Now for the confession.
As someone who can't design her way out of a paper bag, I'll admit I like to gawk every time a cover artist shares their work on Facebook. 👀 Many cover artists who specialize in fantasy tend to create "premade" covers, which they sell at a much cheaper price than what you pay if you order a design created specifically for you.
And sometimes I don't just gawk at these premade covers....
How many premade covers have I collected in 3 years?
🤯 19 🤯
I literally just checked my folder, and now I'm slightly mortified.
How many of those 19 premade covers have found homes with my books as yet? 😬 Only 5, and you can check them out below. (Feel free to buy the stories attached if you don't have them yet. The last one's available only on my shop.)
Since I've worked on my Elemental Bloodlines series—which is now complete—several readers have expressed an interest in some of the side characters and their romantic relationships. Therefore, in the interim between the final full-length novel in Elemental Bloodlines (Gift of Snow) and the first full-length novel in my next series starring a certain Black Priest and his witchy consort, I'm compiling an extra series for the primary purpose of giving homes to my premade covers!
New Series: Elemental Gifts
So what can we expect from this series offering homes to my bulging collection of premade covers? Here's how it's looking at this point.
- Each book will be novella-length, or around 8-10 chapters long
- Each book will highlight a witch who was a side character in Elemental Bloodlines (hopefully your favorites will reappear!)
- Each book will end on a HEA (happily-ever-after)
- Each book will be a standalone that can be read on its own. While some characters will appear in multiple books, there won't be an overarching plot theme going on like in Elemental Bloodlines. So with this series you can literally pick up whichever books intrigue you and ignore the others!
- So far it looks like there will be at least 6 books by the time I close off the series. But it's possible there might end up being 7 or 8 instead.
- I plan on dropping novellas from Elemental Gifts onto the retailers as the summer of 2024 progresses, and I'll drop another here & there until all of the stories are published!
- The books in this new series will happen in chronological order, since some of you got confused at how Elemental Bloodlines jumped around (myself included)
- Since the books in Elemental Gifts will be novella-length, they will also be cheaper to buy ($2.99) than my full-priced novels ($4.99).
Here's a first look at the spectacular premade cover I'm using for Book 1 in Elemental Gifts! Created by Taurus Colosseum and finished off by Ravenborn Covers, I'm so excited to give it a home at the outset of a brand new series.
Can you guess what Teuton witch stars in Magical Gift? Shoot me a reply and let me know! If you guess correctly, I'll send you a BookFunnel link to download your own copy of Magical Gift for free once it's out. 🤩
Other Books You Might Like
Got two books by other authors like me to share with you today. We've got a witchy pre-order by Laura Greenwood that's set at a bargain price, and a new release in urban fantasy by Celia Kyle. Be sure to take a peek at each one!
Katie has always had a thing for her brother's best friend, but the alliance between their families has always held her back from acting on it. But now things are changing, and it's becoming impossible for her to ignore him.
Brew is supposed to be focusing on his family and the tea supply needed to feed their magic, but he keeps finding himself distracted by Katie, and the promise he made his best friend that he'd protect her.
Will they continue to ignore their feelings? Or can they find a way to be together?
The dead aren’t rising in Mouse Town anymore, but banishing them cost a lot.
More than expensive shoes. More than a sports car. We’re talking the kind of price that only comes from gnarly magic: Sam’s memories of me. He has no idea who I am. Can I even be his mate anymore? Hell if I know, and I don’t have time to deal with it all.
Because there’s a twisted sorcerer in town. Before I can focus on my love life, I need to stop him from stripping magical DNA from anyone who catches his fancy so he can make my cousin his bride. Not a chance.
I'd better sign off for now, because my husband and I have to pick my car up from the shop this morning. Bye bye, money! 😠And after that I need to dive back into Magical Gift. Looks like the main character is heading to a ball, and all us romance lovers know what that means. ðŸŽ
Drama! 🤪
Don't forget to check out all the bargain books waiting for you in the Instalove Book Blast! Have a wonderfully weird week, and I'll catch you later.
Talk to you soon,
