What's going on in your world on this wonderfully weird weekend? It's rainy and gray here in C.L. Carhart's hometown, so the only thing of note for her is that Panther just got a flea bath. And in the process he tested his vocal cords and proved himself a very strong tenor. 🎶

All 3 of my male cats decided to trap me near my laptop a few days ago, likely hinting that I might have a novel about a snowy witch to compile. Would you extract yourself from such a predicament, or would you accept your fate?

Panther and Bearing are the 2 blackies curled in my lap, and Thunar is the gray boy perched on the pillow along the wall. Kitties always seem to know when you just need to take a break...and they'll make sure you do it!

But when the king of the Unseelie fae declared Marly his queen and the hope of his people, it seemed her troubles were over, and off they went to his magical kingdom in a reality-tv-worthy happily ever after.

Except it's more hard landing than happy ending. Marly is thrown into the crosshairs of ancient hatreds where war masquerades as etiquette, shadows must beg for light, and things with tentacles are just waiting for something to go wrong. And something is going wrong...very wrong.
