Well, you'd be right. Up until today, I've been using SendFox (my newsletter service) and Gmail (my unofficial 'official' author email) to send authorly updates your way. But the online world has made some changes an effort to protect all of us from scams, so now I've got an 'official' author email address to appease the cyber gremlins. 🤖

C.L. Carhart's 1st Quarter Goals

You may have started wondering whether I ditched the concept of quarterly goals to keep me on track with my author business. We've almost reached the end of January and I haven't announced what I'm trying to accomplish between now and the end of March. So it's time I list out my latest batch of 15 quarterly goals to bring me some public accountability.

And I need that accountability because thus far, I haven't finished 1 goal yet. 😨

Will I manage to complete at least half of these goals—that would be 8 out of 15—during the first quarter of 2024? I'd better quit stuffing my brain with weird, new-to-me info and give back to the world instead of just taking things in....

• write, edit, and publish Gift of Snow (the LAST full-length book in Elemental Bloodlines)
• write, edit, and publish Gift of Darkness bonus novella
• outline several bonus novellas related to the Elemental Bloodlines series
• brain dump for the next 2 series in the Teutonic Fantasy Realm
• format & publish paperbacks for Darkness, Water, Wind, and Snow
• create social media graphics for each published book
• set up email flows for my bookshop's newsletter
• prepare author Facebook page to run ads
• run 2 limited-time sales on 2 different books (Gift of Water 99¢ sale currently in process!)
• begin business-related online course
• begin business-related mentorship
• plan US road trip for 2024
• walk the neighborhood at least 2 times per week
• get a haircut (it's been literally 4 years since my last one)
• prep & plan for this year's garden

That's a darn lot of tasks I need to get started on if I want to finish at least 8 by the end of March. 👀 Will I make it, or will the procrastination monster defeat me this quarter? Stick around until the beginning of April to find out!
