It's happened. C.L. Carhart has finally succumbed to the grumblings of the cyber gremlins in charge of the back end of her author newsletter. They tell her she needs to make sure her VIP readers actually read her emails, or else all her messages will start dropping into spam folders instead of inboxes. 😱
But...I...don't always read C.L. Carhart's emails. Does that mean I might get booted from this newsletter?
Well, you're still here (for now), so that must mean you're doing something right. And the "right" stuff involves opening my emails and occasionally clicking on a link or two. Cyber gremlins keep tabs on stuff like that and ensure the currents of the Internet continue to permit us to communicate with each other.
Dude, I don't click on links from emails. Ever. At all. I'm too concerned about cyber security to take that chance.
That's completely understandable. As long as you keep opening my emails a few times per month, you should be good to go. Sending a randomly weird reply every now & then is even better!
When it comes to cyber security, I'm the first human to click on each link I share in these newsletters. So that means if any are compromised, so is my husband's laptop. And I doubt either he or I would be happy about that. 😉
What if I accidentally unsubscribe? I'm a clicky person, and sometimes I click things I didn't mean to click.

If you downloaded the Dukes of Magic anthology at some point during the last three months, then you might have already read Gift of Light—my first ever attempt at a fairy tale retelling set in the Teutonic Fantasy Realm!
It was so much fun to discover the story of Konstantin and Helena, a young priest who fell under an unfortunate curse and a witch of light ignorant of her magic's purpose. I'm actually thinking about writing an entire "saga" series about Helena and her undead, beastly consort. 🤔

Bearing Says Hello
I recently realized it's been a while since I last shared a cat pic with you. In fact, I think the last one I shared was of Nightfall, the panther who stole my heart years ago and carried it with him on his journey over the rainbow bridge back in May. 😔 In Nightfall's absence, Bearing has stepped up to take care of his humans and the household in general as the Top Panther.
No, he hasn't caught any anoles yet this year. He'd rather spend most of his time lounging next to me while I write books & do business stuff. Or park himself in front of one of the windows to keep an eye on his territory.
