Quit lying to yourself!

You aren't living the exact life you wish you could LIVE.

Each day isn't spent in the way you wish it could be spent.

Every year you keep telling yourself you are going to change it, but you don't.

Now is your chance to finally break the chain.

The chain that restricts you from living "that life."

How?

By asking yourself this one question...

If you had the money/freedom/time to do whatever you wanted, what would it be?!?!?

A more realistic way of asking this question is if you could have the perfect day "off," how would you spend it?!?

Don't just think about this question though...

WRITE IT DOWN.

OBSESS OVER IT.

BE RELENTLESS IN THE PURSUIT OF MAKING IT YOUR REALITY!

I had the pleasure of having Patrick Lyons on the ThriveOnLife Podcast yesterday and he asked the audience, and myself, the question from above. He uses it to make sure he lives his life in alignment with who he hopes to become, and what he hopes to achieve during his lifetime.

Which got me thinking, do I spend my time, and live my life in a way that represents the perfect "off" day?

Sort of.

For instance, yesterday was Sunday, an actual "off" day for most.

It started with a 2hr workout + content session with one of my good friends Mason. (I featured him a few weeks ago).

Following the lifting session, I smashed my first meal of the day, a nutrient dense smoothie. (I typically fast until noon every day).

Then I headed to THRIVE HQ to record the podcast with Patrick. Before the podcast though, I spent some time with Jasmine Q, Jon Scotty, and Charlotte (super talented local content creators who help the THRIVE community) who were at HQ completing the final edits on their short film SHUTTER which y'all should check it out!!!

Soon after, Patrick and I recorded his episode on my show. HE CRUSHED IT!!! The added bonus was he brought his friend Giancarlo who performed some magic tricks for me. (He is a musician who has previously been on Penn & Teller).

My mind is still confused how he did them hahaha. Future video showcasing his tricks will be coming.

Here is Patrick pre-recording.

The end of my day looked like this...

-Edit photos/videos

-Eat dinner with my wife Erin

-Go on a 2-mile walk with Erin

-Post + Engage on a few Social channels

-20-minute Peloton yoga + hip stretch with Erin

-Finish up all work related tasks, prep schedule for week, eat chocolate chip pancakes, and write this while listening to Lumineers Radio on my Sonos System.

-Use my Theragun to help my muscles recover

-SLEEP "zzzzz"

To be 100 percent honest, yesterday wa fairly close to doing what I would do on a perfect "off" day.

The way I look at my day to day life is through the lens of how can I...

  1. Continuously improve myself physically, mentally, spiritually.
  2. Spend as much time with Erin as I can.
  3. Collaborate with a community of likeminded individuals who are making a positive impact on this world.
  4. Travel & have as many new experiences that this beautiful world has to offer.

What I am working towards is having more flexibility to spend more time with my family, more time to travel, more time to spend learning from, listening to, and participating in the day-to-day life of different cultures around the world.

All of which I will one day achieve. My work ethic backs up my dreams!

I will finish this with asking you to write out what your day-to-day life looks like TODAY, and compare it to the perfect "off" day that you listed.

NOW GO OUT INTO THE WORLD AND TAKE YOUR STEPS TOWARDS MAKING YOUR TODAY BECOME THE TOMORROW YOU WANT!!!!!

Remember though to always make sure you remain grateful for TODAY.

Happy Monday fam! Love y'all!
