Welcome to the Family!

Hello!

Now, before anyone gets too carried away, I am not pregnant! A friend of mine recently put something on her Instagram about 'new additions' (meaning new collections) and got lots of queries about whether or not she was expecting! What a great imagination you have!

No, this is a new blog about how I've recently realised that films make us family - so welcome to the family! Find out how we're related here.

When I was a teenager, I was told by someone (my Dad?) that I didn't need a Halloween costume, as I permanently had one on my head. I don't think it went down terribly well, but apparently the misunderstanding was over my hair - I just needed to flip it over my face and I'd instantly become Cousin Itt from The Adams Family. I'm not sure that really helped me be less offended, but if I'm honest, I can see the resemblance!

Where did I leave my hat?

I don't know if I haven't made it clear, or if folks are just doing other things, but no one has signed up for the One of a Kind Show yet. I'll be taking a different approach this time, and will be doing the show via my website. You'll need a password to get in, so if you want a chance to snap up some of the unique designs, you'll need to click here.

I've struggled with trying not to make these look all perfect! I think they work better as a spooky collection with a few 'roughed up' bits. It's rare that you see a perfect cobweb, and certainly a ghost shouldn't be perfectly shiny and smooth - they are otherworldly, and I've tried to stay true to that.

More photos will be posted on social, but if you want in, you need to register to get the secret knock!

Don't worry, no ghosts allowed!

Lastly, there's a new blog from Caitlin Hall about the curses that have apparently affected various film productions. There are a few zingers in there that you don't expect!

Hope you have a great week,

Joy
