, Once in a while, I'm always opportuned to meet someone who knows me online in real life.

I guess that's one of the perks of being a bit popular in the marketing space…

Well, guess what?

It could also be a downside…

Because most times when I meet someone who knows my status online in real life…

They tend to ask me questions that actually require me to think.

And most times when I'm out…

I definitely do not want to be thinking hehehe…

Anyway, yesterday I met someone like that.

Let me tell you about it:

I was so hungry yesterday evening because I had locked myself in all day to surprise a client (by beating the deadline I gave him)

So in the spirit of my hunger,

I hurriedly called my cab guy and told him to take me to the nearest Kilimanjaro restaurant.

Fortunately, he responded, and in a few minutes, he was whisking me away to satisfy my hunger.

I got into the restaurant,

Ordered a sumptuous looking meal of Spaghetti and their special sauce (I love their sauce so muchhh)

And as I sat down to eat…

I saw a guy walking towards me like I owed him money…

So I decided to take a pause and observe if I was in trouble before I got back to my meal.

Turns out this guy was someone who knew me online.

He greeted me and swiftly began unloading questions he expected me to answer.

Crazy thing is:

The first question he asked me was:

“Oxide, how do you land foreign clients?...

“And before you say pitches…I've sent 100s of pitches and still NO reply”

To be honest …

I was a bit pissed off to hear that question…

Because of two reasons:

Reason #1: I'm currently promoting the Templates to you and others in my list, and if he read my emails as he claimed, he should have simply gotten the Templates to know how I do it 

Reason #2: I was hungry as hell! And because of this guy, my food was getting cold in front of me. (I hate cold Spaghetti). He should have taken the cue that I was about to eat and at least just waited. He even wanted a friggin picture! WTH!!!

Anyways, I tried my best not to disclose my anger…

Told him to excuse me so I finished eating…

I had to tell him…

And when I was done…

I gave him a very simple yet powerful breakdown of what Client Acquisition is all about.

Now I know I was pissed…

But I'm grateful that this guy disturbed my meal because the breakdown I gave to him is arguably one of the best breakdowns I've ever given on client acquisition…

And that's why it's the topic for this email.

What did I tell him?

Simple.

I told him that client acquisition is simply being able to show a client that you are going to be an asset to his business 

It doesn't matter how you do it…

What matters is that the prospect you want to turn to a client believes it.

It's that simple.

So you can choose to send a written pitch…

Or a video pitch…

Or a sample of your work…

Or a special sample you've created specifically for the client.. 

Or you can cold call…

Or cold email.

Whichever medium that works for you.

Stop overcomplicating it.

Now the idea behind my Templates is:

I've put together what has worked and is still working for me to land clients in the shortest time possible and with the shortest energy input possible too.

And only those who get the templates would understand what I mean by this.
