, I've been so all over the J. Cole and Kendrick Lamar saga.

And if you're not a rap enthusiast…

You might not understand what I just said or what it means…

So I'll do a little bit of explaining.

J. Cole and Kendrick Lamar are both hip-hop rappers.

And I love both of them.

Their songs are fire and I love listening to each of them.

But lately, IMO, J. Cole has been slacking.

I respect him a lot but the nigga just hasn't been on business as much as he used to.

Anyway, Kendrick went ahead and dissed J. Cole's song with Drake: “First Person Shooter”...

And J. Cole decided to fire back in the lamest way possible.

Guess how he fired back?

He said Kendrick's best album was MID

Now this Album called: To Pimp A Butterfly won more awards than any of J. Cole's songs ever did.

It even won a Grammy award for best rap album the year it was produced.

And Kendrick (once again) won the best rap album of the year in 2023.

In 2023 alone, he won:

• Best rap album
• Best rap song
• Best rap performance

Crazy right?

And this is the guy J.cole went ahead to diss

Anyway, I got pissed listening to the diss lines J. Cole used because they were in all honesty very cringe.

So I posted it on my status yesterday…

To wake up this morning to see that J. Cole had apologized to Kendrick.

Very funny stuff.

It's like smacking a guy in the face…

And when it's time for you to get smacked back, you begin to apologize so you don't get smacked in the face too.

Very corny move by J. Cole.

Now , I'm not taking all these seriously…

I'm just pissed at J. Cole for apologizing

This was all about competition for me...

Because one thing I know is:

Competition brings out the best in hip-hop rappers.

And J. Cole just pulled back on what would probably be the best matchup in hip-hop history…

Like the great matchups of:

• Tu PAC Shakur and Notorious B.I.G
• 50 CENTS and Kanye West
• M.G.K and Eminem

These were historical matchups that brought out the best in both rappers.

And I was glad to be around and sound for this one.

But J. Cole just dropped the ball and I'm a bit pissed about it.

Now , I'm not pointing out any lesson in today's letter…

I just thought writing about it would make a good letter
