, when I began building a business online I hated myself.

Now don't get me wrong…

I wasn't depressed or angry with myself for anything I had done…

I didn't even know I hated myself…

But in truth, I did.

And I did because I was only proud of myself whenever my business was doing well.

If I had a bad week…

Maybe I got too many NOs from clients…

Or an ad got stopped by Facebook…

Or a campaign flopped…

I would just be gloomy and unhappy with myself.

My self-love was hinged on how good my business did…

And vice versa.

Because anytime my business did well, then and only then would I feel proud and happy with myself 

I was literally in a toxic relationship with myself because I didn't treat my business as a separate entity.

And that's what I want to tell you about today

You see, this morning I made a post on Twitter that I'd love to share with you.

The post goes:

“A good morning to remember that your love for yourself should be independent of how good or bad your business is going.

“Poor sales shouldn't make you hate or lose trust in yourself.

“Great sales also should not be the reason you love or trust yourself.”

As entrepreneurs,

It's easy for us to lose sight of the fact that our business and us as humans are two separate entities…

And we shouldn't let one affect the other.

Because allowing that to happen comes with consequences.

Let's say you have a bad week…

You hate yourself for it…

So you don't treat yourself well enough to recover to have a better week.

And it happens again…

And it's like you're in this cycle of doom where nothing seems to be going well.

Then you begin to blame yourself more…

And the same thing repeats itself.

It happened to me …

And I don't want it to happen to you…

That's why I'm sharing this letter with you.

I want us to win…

And I'll do my best to make that possible
