“Oxide will just stay locked up in his house the whole morning and say he's working. Baba you dey watch film” David said.

“No mind am, na banny him dey carry come dey tell us say him dey work” Daniel replied…

And everyone burst into laughter…

Including me, the subject of the conversation.

A few days back, during one of our after-gym chit chats with some of my gym friends…

One of them mentioned that I always liked spending mornings locked up in my house.

Now he said this because he had invited me out multiple times and I politely declined each time he did so…

And each time I did, I would explain to him that I was busy working on a project or a campaign…

Anyway, he said he seriously doubted that I would spend the whole morning…

From my waking time till afternoon working.

He also said he was sure I was doing something more fun and just giving him an excuse.

According to him, I was either playing games or watching Netflix movies…

Because he couldn't picture me hunched over my laptop doing boring work for that long.

Funny stuff.

Now the whole conversation was interesting to me…

Because there's a kind of beauty I find when I mingle with people who see what I do as a mystery.

Like I get a lot of: “How is it possible that you work from home and earn good money”

“What in the world is email marketing?”

“How is it that you love doing this stuff?”

“Bro, is it even sustainable at all?”

And , guess what…

I love getting these questions because they remind me of how lucky you and I are to be among the few who know that opportunities like these exist.

The sheer possibility of getting paid thousands of dollars by someone who may never lay eyes on you for the rest of your life is insane.

We are in an age where the impossible is happening…

And somehow we still complain and underutilize this privilege.

Yeah, we do.

And the ones who do that the most are those who:

1. Have no high-demand digital skills OR
2. Do not know how to sell their high-demand skill

And that's why I'm obsessed with what I do.

I love it!

I love being an entrepreneur…

I love being an email marketer…

I love dictating how much I earn…

I love being in control of what I take home each money in income…

I love controlling what I do and when I do it.

And that's why I can sit for 4-6 hours and just do it wholeheartedly.

Even skipping meals sometimes just for this.

, I feel I'm no longer a part of the matrix.

Like I've been able to break out like Neo and his friends.

I'm very grateful for that.

And this letter is simply about Gratitude.
