, I discovered the power of frameworks in 2021 when I became intentional about learning Copywriting.

You see, before that time…

I had spent a few thousands learning the skill of Copywriting…

But no matter how much I learned…

There was always something more to be learned.

It was frustrating to be honest.

Of course, I knew learning a skill like that was a lifelong process…

But I needed to get to a point where my copy would no longer look like shit compared to the copy of A-listers.

But with all I was learning on the topic…

The courses I was taking…

The books I was reading…

It just seemed like I was on a path that had no end.

Even when I wanted to write a piece of copy, I got stuck thinking of what strategy to use…

How do I write this headline?

What formula do I use for this subheadline?

How do I write this lead?

What about the body?

How about the subheadline?

It was a harrowing process of writing and editing what I had written.

So most times I would spend hours upon hours writing copy which at the end of the day would read like shit to me.

It was not funny at all.

But I thought that was the way to go.

“At least everyone learning copy is experiencing the same thing”

That's what I kept telling myself.

Oh how wrong I was.

Because in the summer of 2021…

I discovered frameworks.

You see , everything you see on a topic is like the body of a human being.

The frameworks are the skeletal frames that hold up that body and make it what it is.

Just take a minute and imagine what happens if you take a human being…

And strip him of all his bones.

From his skull to his toe bones.

Now I know that's a morbid picture…

But of course…

That person would die…

And what would be left is a blob of organs and flesh just frolicking around like an amoeba.

That human would be an immobile organism…

Totally worthless… 

That is how it feels trying to learn anything without understanding the frameworks behind it.

That's exactly how I felt trying to learn copy without understanding the frameworks behind copy.

When I discovered this…

Everything changed.

I started with the P.A.S.T.O.R Framework by Ray Edwards (you can find the breakdown on my Twitter page)

And I learned other frameworks that made my foot journey a whole lot easier.

Learning became more interesting for me…

I began writing copy that I was proud of…

And I became a more wholesome Copywriter…

That , is the power of frameworks.

Trying to learn anything without first understanding the frameworks behind it is a recipe for impending doom.

And I understand that…
