Last week I was talking with the CEO of a large listed company, someone who sees crypto mostly as a speculative asset. I mentioned the Marshall Islands: back in 2018 they launched the idea of a sovereign digital currency (SOV) alongside the U.S. dollar. It was a forward-looking concept, though perhaps too early for its time. I’ll look further into where that initiative stands today and share an update later.

The key point is that crypto isn’t just about trading or speculation.
