Have you ever thought about how writing seems to be going backwards these days? Over thousands of years, we evolved our language from pictures painted on cave walls to written graphical symbols to standardized alphabets. Even though there are always changes taking place, we have eventually come to a place where our various cultures have decided on commonly accepted sentence structures, spellings, and use of punctuation. Yay progress! 👏🏼 Or maybe not...

For decades now, it seems like we have slowly been going backwards from words being shortened in random ways or run together in order to save space to an entire vocabulary of texting lingo to the use of memes, GIFs, and emoji. So, it looks like we're back to the modern day equivalent of pictures on cave walls. 😕
