Perfection is the enemy for coaches

Hi ,
“The perfect is not only the enemy of the good, it is also the enemy of the realistic, the possible, and the fun.” ~ Rebecca Solnit
Have you ever let your ideas about getting something done “just right” get in the way of forward progress? I can’t even begin to count all the ways I’ve done this. 😛
Underneath a desire to do such a great job, there is often a lot of fear disguised as good intentions.
For instance, “I want to create the very best program for my clients” might also mean, “What if they think I don’t know what I’m doing?”
Or, “Being a professional means I need to have all my ducks in a row at all times” could also mean,”If I make a mistake, nobody will want to work with me.”
If we can hold our desire to do things well more gently and wrap it in a few layers of humor, the work we do may not be perfect, but it will be perfect enough, and we’ll have more fun doing it.
I invite you to join us for our Coaches in CAHOOTS community call this week and see how it truly doesn’t take perfection to make a difference.. Plus be among the first to celebrate a brand new phase for our community! 🥳
