Hi ,
This week’s Better Leadership Blueprint was inspired by some of my former clients from WAY back in my copywriting days…

Showing up with your personal brand takes guts
I used to think the term ‘personal brand’ was VERY douchey. And I still do, to be honest. There’s something that feels very navel-gazey and self-absorbed about it.
But what’s under the idea of personal branding ISN’T douchey at all- at its core, it’s your reputation.
Your legacy. What you want to be remembered for.
And just because certain terms get used by influencers who are self-obsessed, doesn’t mean they have zero value at all.
So with that in mind, I’d like to spend a bit of time in this email unpacking personal branding a bit more.
Two of the biggest “monsters” I see people struggling with in relation to their personal brand are Shiny Object Syndrome and Imposter Syndrome.
Or maybe it's a combination of them... basically, I've seen people go to tons of work to clarify their brand, extract stories, and have everything in place, and then... crickets.
They lose the nerve to show up. And then they get distracted by something else.
Shiny Object Syndrome lures them into chasing after every new idea or trend that comes their way, causing them to lose sight of their original vision and lose confidence in their brand.
