#341 – What's your *only* job as an artist?

When you're an artist––either as a professional art maker, or as someone who brings new things into the world with the purpose of creating change––you only have one job.

No matter what your Ego and the Ghosts will tell you, it's not your job to:

• Please your audience
• Make everyone agree with you
• Convince people that you're right
• Persuade others to do as you do
• Judge whether your art is "good" or "bad"
• Adapt your work to the tastes of others (even if you think they're "your audience")
• Ensure that no one gets offended or irritated by your work

As your True Self knows, your only job is to commit to your authentic and honest expression, believing in your purpose.

And the rest is noise.
