What do your talents need from you?

#438 – What do your talents need from you?

How many times have you abandoned your talent just because it didn't feel "productive?" Because you couldn't "monetize" it (I hate that word)? Because it'd lead you nowhere?

Perhaps your answer, like mine, is, "when have I not?"

For years, I didn't let myself write because it didn't bring me money. My Ego said it was a waste of time.

If only I could get a paid writing job, I'd think, at the same time terrified at the idea––would I be good enough and all that crap.

Today, I realized: if radical acceptance is the catalyst of change, to change my relationship to prosperity, I need to accept my whole self.

But by not feeding my talents, I'm denying oxygen to a part of myself. And that is inner war.

A former coaching client told me he'd noticed that the need for income after losing his job was pushing him to abandon his music. He thought of making a business out of it so not to feel guilty about it.

As I understood today, it's the other way around. You feed your talents so they're healthy and strong.

You don't care whether or not your art brings you money––you find other income while nourishing your talents. You give them a voice and take care of them. You proudly raise them.

And one day, when you're ready, you put your gifts in service of others. You share with gratitude and abundance.

What action are you ready to take in service of your talents?

Love,

Carolina
