Happy New Year, my Wylde-ings!
Here's to a better, easier, and more cheerful year, filled with great books and great people!
And speaking of great books, this month is Winged January, did you know? Because the second round of Monsters' Bride Market is happening, and they all have wings. Eva, Ava, Lia, and I decided to do themed rounds in this shared series, and since October was spooky monsters, we thought it would be cool to have winged monsters in January. We have another surprise for you in April, but about that... later.
My book for Winged January is Bought by the Wyvern. Here are the cover and the blurb:
Bought by the Wyvern
Release date: January 21, 2026
Amazon US | Amazon UK | Amazon AU | Amazon CA
I’m a creature of possession. What is mine, remains mine. Forever.
Years ago, a servant girl fled my palace after a… let’s call it “regrettable incident”. Tonight, I find her standing on a bride market block, selling what’s left of herself to the highest bidder.
An amusing turn of fate. The other monsters never stand a chance. A wyvern always reclaims his property.
I pay an obscene fortune, and when she looks at me with delicious defiance in her eyes, I tell her the simple truth: I’m not buying a wife, I’m buying a servant to return her to her rightful place.
Now she’s trapped in my gilded cage, and her hatred is the most exquisite torture. She thinks she’s my prisoner, but she has no idea. Having her hate me under my own roof is a luxury I’ve earned and a pain I plan to savor.

Ava York will be opening the series on January 7th with Bought by the Raven King. You can read the first chapter now!
And pre-order the book now so it hits your Kindle on the 7th!
Amazon US | Amazon UK | Amazon AU | Amazon CA
A bride who climbed out of her own grave. A king who speaks to the dead. A cold that finally feels like home.
OLWEN
I've been faking a pulse for three months. Faking warmth. Faking breath. Counting petals to remind my heart how to beat, and how easily it could forget.
At the Bride Market, a wolf's heat nearly burns through my borrowed life. So I choose the monster in the corner instead. The one made of shadow and frost. The one they only whisper about.
The Raven King buys me with funeral coins and says he's purchasing my silence. I don't tell him I'm already dead. I don't tell him his cold is the first thing that hasn't hurt since I clawed my way out of the ground.
I just need to keep pretending long enough to vanish.
CADOR
I see the living. I see the dead. I see the ones trying very hard not to be either.
My new bride is none of them. A void where a soul should glow. A silence shaped like a woman. My ravens call her sister, and perhaps I should fear her.
I don't. She's hiding something impossible, and she's exhausted from holding it alone. I want to know what happens when she finally lets herself rest.

Eva Brandt is next, on January 14th. You can read the first chapter of Bought by the Keres below!
Pre-order the book now so you can forget about it and read it on release day:
Amazon US | Amazon UK | Amazon AU | Amazon CA
Most people go mad when they hear a Keres’s death screech. Me? I was already mad.
I came to the city of monsters to trade away the visions tormenting me. One deal, then I’d be free. One deal, and I'd leave the land of the dead behind.
Then Phonos found me.
This massive, winged warrior looks at me as if I’m the answer to every prayer he’s never dared to speak. His death-scream should drive me into a murderous frenzy, but to me, it’s music. And for him, I make the most dangerous choice of my life.
I enter the bride market.
He claims me with the ferocity of a death god. His wings cage me in, his talons a promise of protection no one else ever dared to give. In his arms, I’m not feared, or insane. I’m worshiped.
But for the first time since my gift awakened, I can't see my fate. I can't see his. And in a city where only the death-touched survive, that blindness might be more dangerous than any vision.

Last but not least, Lia Frost brings you Bought by the Wild Roc on January 28th!
Amazon US | Amazon UK | Amazon AU | Amazon CA
A bride auction. A Roc untouched for two hundred years. A nest he builds around her while she sleeps.
WREN
When my uncle's creditor raises a paddle to claim me, I do the only reckless, impossible thing that might save me. I choose the monster in the shadows instead.
Tavrin is nothing like the horror I braced for. He fills my room with books I've whispered about only once. He brings me tea before I know I want it. And when he thinks I'm sleeping, he builds a nest around my body, arranging each book by how fiercely I love it.
He watches me like I'm a treasure he's spent lifetimes searching for. But I can't curl into safety. Not yet.
TAVRIN
I bought her to free her. Now I'm the one undone.
The mate bond snaps into place, and the change follows. Wings splitting skin, instincts narrowing to one command: claim, protect, keep.
But Wren's uncle threatens the only family she has left. And to save them, I must choose between two impossible things:
Let her walk away. Or tear this cursed city apart to bring her and her sister home.

Because these are all on pre-order and I'm basically making you wait without offering you anything to read NOW, here's a book that just came out today.
Drop of Karma, by Verity Storm
A Dark Underworld Fantasy Romance
Amazon US | Amazon UK | Amazon AU | Amazon CA
One betrayal stripped her of her wings.
One bargain might cost her soul.
Elpis was a perfect soldier of Heaven until the sister she loved pushed her into the Abyss. Broken, flightless, and stranded in a realm of monsters, she is given a single, brutal choice: be torn apart by the wastes, or accept the protection of the Seventh Prince.
Cyprian is everything the scriptures warned her about: violent, arrogant, and lethally charming. He offers her safety, but the price is a bond that goes deeper than flesh. He doesn’t just want a political alliance to defy his father; he wants to bind her life force to his own.
But the marriage of convenience ignites a hunger neither of them expected. The blood oath awakens a power that terrifyingly blurs the line between prisoner and partner, turning a cold arrangement into a scorching obsession.
As the armies of Heaven march on the gates and the King of Hell demands a weapon only Elpis can provide, she realizes that the fall was just the beginning. To survive the war between their worlds, she will have to trust the monster who owns her... even if his protection requires a sacrifice that will leave them both in ruins.
Heaven didn't want her.
Hell was waiting.
