OFFER THAT GUY
Our take: Another Montreal native vying for the top spot at quarterback on the CFC100 Class of 2022. Tristan Aboud was named to Team Dunigan of the CFC Prospect Game 2020 and would have been great to watch him and the other three quarterbacks showcase themselves on the only high school all-star game televised nationally on TSN.
But as the pandemic would determine, our hopes were dashed...BUT that doesn't mean you shouldn't check this 6'4, 205lbs pocket passer who does a great job with his timing. He has an uncanny ability to throw receivers open and make quick decisions as well as make a variety of throws into tight windows. He's just as deadly with his feet and can extend plays. Being one of the top quarterbacks in his class, he's definitely one to jump on.

SOUTH OF THE BORDER HEADLINES
- Over the Christmas Break, we got to watch some college football bowl games, with some having prominent Canadian performers, although overall, bowl season was relatively quiet for the Canucks. CFC40 DE Daniel Joseph had 5 tackles for the Wolfpack in the TaxSlayer Gator Bowl. In the Outback Bowl, CFC40 CB Deane Leonard had a tackle and a pass breakup, posting a great PFF coverage grade of 76.6. In the Chanticleers first loss of the season in a heartbreaking FBC Mortgage Cure Bowl against Liberty, CFC60 Enock Makonzo had 10 tackles and 1.5 TFL.
- In weeks 15 and 16 of the NFL season, the Canucks have stayed in full throttle. Steelers CFC100 WR Chase Claypool totaled 7 catches for 108 yards through his two matchups. CFC100 DT Neville Gallimore of the Cowboys has had 7 tackles and half a sack through the couple of weeks too, while the Eagles’ LB Alex Singleton has continued to impress with 19 tackles during the same time frame.
- Many Canadians signed during Early Signing Day this year, but an interesting part were the schools that picked up multiple Canadians in this class. CFC100 DE Aaron Armitage and CFC100 RB Brendon Barrow signed with prestigious Stanford University, while in the FCS, CFC100 DE Tristan Marois, CFC100 DE Nathan Carabatsakis, and CFC100 DB Shakespeare Louis all signed with RMU.
RECRUITING TIP
Most popular questions from recruits this week?
Feel like you need to answer right away on social media? Well, you've never heard of the benefits of the 20 minute rule. So maybe you're upset or you're mad about something that happened in your life, or maybe you see something on social media that you want to comment on that you're passionate about and you've got a strong opinion.
BOTTOM LINE:
Take 20 minutes. Really. Go for a walk or go make some food, go have a shower, whatever you do to unwind and just think about it. Write out whatever you want in the moment and then save it in your drafts, but then take 20 minutes and go back and read. Think about if that's something you actually want to post.
