Our take: You want a kid who knows how to work? Look no further than CFC100 tight end/defensive end class of 2021 Denzel Mountali.

Check out his twitter, his workout vids display his man-child abilities. He passes the eyeball test and then some. But let's not get caught up in the visual, he's extremely strong, really athletic and twitchy, and has a tremendous amount of upside on either side of the ball. While he is pretty raw, who doesn't want a blank canvas full of potential.

With multiple U Sports offers and 1 NCAA offer on the board, Mountali made the 2020 CFC Prospect Game that is televised on TSN. However, due to the pandemic, the game was cancelled, but he joins an elite roster of players deemed to be the best in Canada. Like a diamond discovered for the first time, Mountali, once cut and polished, will make one team's crown shine brighter.

In interesting fashion CFC100 LB Darius McKenzie has reversed course, decommitting from Colgate and committing to the Maine Black Bears from whom he just got an offer. He’ll join other Canadians like CFC100s Shaquille St-Lot and Katley Joseph, and he’ll be arriving as CFC40s Liam Dobson and Deshawn Stevens move onto the pro ranks.

In another edition of Air Canada, CFC100 Jared Wayne had 5 catches for 60 yards for Pitt, CFC100 John Metchie III had 5 catches for 72 yards for Bama, and CFC40 Josh Palmer had 4 catches for 53 yards for the Vols. On the defensive side of the ball, CFC100 Jesse Luketa had a solid day for Penn State, with 7 tackles and 2 PBUs on his stat line. CFC100 RB Chase Brown also had 14 carries for 70 yards for Illinois against a top-15 opponent.

In NFL week 13 the regular Canadians were back at it again. LB Alex Singleton had 12 tackles for the Eagles and WR N’Keal Harry got in for six for the Patriots. CFC100s and 2020 NFL draft picks, Cowboys DT Neville Gallimore (4 tackles) and Steelers WR Chase Claypool (2 catches, 38 yards) got in on the action too.

Most popular questions from recruits this week?

Coaches are people too! Relationships are a two way street. There are a few things you can do to grow a relationship with a potential future coach. First off, recognize when there is a real connection. You won't have the same interaction with every coach that tries to recruit you. The ones that you feel a stronger connection to, you should recognize and go out of your way to let them know that you are appreciative in their interest and recruitment of you.

BOTTOM LINE:

You can write handwritten thank-you notes. This goes a long way, especially in this day and age where pen and paper has gone the way of the dodo bird. However, if you take the time to write a handwritten thank-you note and mail it out, the impact is immense and will no doubt leave a lasting impression.
