OFFER THAT GUY
Our take: CFC150 Class of 2022 offensive centre, Dave Thomson, makes running backs look good. A great frame at 6'5" and 290 pounds, kid plays like a tackle but at the centre position. He does a great job of snapping the ball and moving his feet. A regular road grader, he always seems to be gaining an advantage and/or working to the second level. Like all great offensive linemen, you won't hear him brag about himself, but what you will get is respect. Respect for his teammates, the sport, and all others around him. Playing his ball down south, look for him to be having a monster of an offseason.

TOP PROSPECTS of the week
Today Katie Uttley catches up with Ajax, ON native CFC100 WR Elijah Hartley, who's been grinding throughout the pandemic to improve on an already impressive 4.6 40 yard dash.
Kato and Elijah discuss how his goals have changed since arriving at Football North, how his championship ring from the Durham Dolphins continues to be a source of inspiration, and how he wishes his grandfather could witness the progress his family made across Ontario.

SOUTH OF THE BORDER HEADLINES
- Three CFC40s participated in the Reese’s Senior Bowl practices and game this week, and it appears that at least a couple of them made themselves some money. WR Josh Palmer impressed all week and had a couple catches for 27 yards and a TD in the game. CB Benjamin St-Juste showed off his range and quick hips in practices and had a couple pass breakups in the game, including one preventing a Josh Palmer touchdown. The coaches moved OT Alaric Jackson around a lot, as he spent most of his time this week playing on the right side of the line, forcing him to flip his footwork which took some adjusting, obviously. All these guys have solidified themselves as NFL Draft picks come April.
- CFC100 DE Luiji Vilain has announced his transfer from Michigan to Wake Forest for the 2021 season. The pass rusher, after going through his confusing college career thus far riddled with knee injuries, seemingly comes out of the transfer with two years of eligibility left to play for the Demon Deacons. The former 4-star recruit has played in 12 games over the past 2 seasons, where he’s registered 11 tackles, a sack, and a forced fumble in a limited role on an extremely deep defensive line that likely includes two future NFL first-round edge rushers in Kwity Paye and Aidan Hutchinson.
- Over the past couple weeks, CFC Prospect Game CFC100 WR Elic Ayomanor has picked up four new D1 offers. His talent has caught the eyes of Bowling Green, Kent State, Liberty, and Arizona. This brings the prospect’s offer count to 11, and it doesn’t look like he’s slowing down. CFC60 DB Frederik Lesieur also committed to Penn State as a preferred walk-on this week.
RECRUITING TIP
Most popular questions from recruits this week?
The best way to get noticed as a football player is to have an outstanding highlight video/tape. Over the years, we have watched thousands of highlight videos. We seen great players with great videos, bad players with great videos, but we must admit the most frustrating thing is when you get a great player with a bad highlight tape.
It really hurts the player’s chances of effectively being recruited to their talent level and showcasing their abilities. A great video can get you a scholarship at a CIS and/or NCAA program that could result in the player getting a scholarship offer for a full tuition waiver ... CONTINUE READING
