Our take: Class of 2023 CFC100 defensive tackle Ben Pickering out of Kelowna, British Columbia is a freakin' beast. He came out of nowhere in the Vancouver CFC Prospect Game Tryout & Showcases, and the dude has a vertical of 29.9 at 6'3", 285 pounds.
WHAT!?!
Yeah, and his other combine scores were incredible for a big man as well. He's extremely athletic, very thick - especially in the lower half. He has all the tools you're looking for in a defensive tackle, more specifically a 1-tech. We think he reminds us of NFL Los Angeles Rams DT Greg Gains, former Washington Huskies standout. This is a kid you definitely want on your radar if you don't have him already with a LOI ready to go.
