Who's being slept on?

CFC100 Class of 2022 Max Polischuk has transformed himself this off-season (check out his twitter @MaxPolischukWR if you don't believe us). The 6'1" 200lbs receiver out of Sheldon-Williams high school in Saskatchewan let his presence be known when CFC came to town. He's taken his talents down south for all you recruiters out there. Get your eyes on him, he's the real deal.

Our take: 2 words...FREAKY ATHLETE!

  • Passes the eyeball test
  • Can't say enough about his frame
  • Not afraid to go up and get the ball
  • Tested extremely well in all combine settings
  • Has impressive lower body strength and outstanding hands
  • Saw him at the first round of the CFC Prospect Game tryouts

SOUTH OF THE BORDER HEADLINES

  • Former CFC60 Kevin Mital has pulled his variant of an UNO Reverse Card, as he will be coming from NCAA DI to U Sports football at a time where some of the top U Sports players are doing the exact opposite. The 6’1”, 230lbs receiver who redshirted last year at Syracuse has announced his transfer to Laval, in his home province of Quebec, where he played for André-Grasset College. Despite there being no opportunity to hoist the Vanier Cup, RSEQ does still remain the only conference who are yet to cancel the 2020 football season, and perhaps he’s still holding out hope that he’ll get to actually play for the Rouge et Or this season.

  • This past week’s been fairly boring and uneventful in the football world, so let’s instead look forward. The Sporting News released their preseason All-Americans, with future CFC40 Chuba Hubbard being on the first team (duh). One who could be seen as having been snubbed from this list is another future CFC40, Jevon Holland. The Oregon Ducks safety was Pac-12 First Team last year and was ranked as a top 10 2021 NFL Draft prospect by Mel Kiper Jr. He could be the first Canadian off the board in next year’s NFL draft, which will likely have a record-setting number of Canadians picked.

  • CFC100 and CFC Prospect Game Alumnus Nickolas Tshivuadi has announced his commitment to the University of South Florida. The 6’4”, 190lbs receiver announced his post-secondary intents on Saturday, and he will join the Bulls in 2021. USF accounted for 1 of his 2 DI offers, with the other having come from the University of Tennessee-Martin. The rangy receiver played for Bev Facey in Alberta before transferring to a school down south for this past season.

RECRUITING TIP

Most popular questions from recruits this week?

Have you ever been on the wrong end of an ear beating from your coach? If not, we doubt your credentials on the gridiron. Everybody needs to deal with an angry or upset coach at one point in their career, but there's a lot of different ways to handle the situation. Trolling your coach for a reaction isn't advised, or you might find yourself creating memes on the end of the bench for the rest of the season. Instead, take it as a lesson in humility because, every coach simply wants the best for their players - even if they don't convey their emotions properly.

BOTTOM LINE:

Coaches are human, and usually very busy humans. Their heads are likely spinning all day trying to complete every task on the list, so try to show some remorse when you kick over the cones for the third time in a row during back pedals.
