We are writing to let you know about an important change to our billing and payment policy, effective September 15, 2026.
Over the past year, we have experienced an increasing number of invoices that remain unpaid well beyond their due dates. Managing these outstanding balances has become increasingly difficult and has required our team to spend significant time following up on overdue accounts.
To address this and ensure that we can continue providing our clients with the level of service they expect, we are implementing a more consistent payment policy going forward.
Effective October 1, 2026, all clients will be required to have either:
A retainer maintained on account; or
A valid credit card on file.
Our existing payment terms will remain due upon receipt. However, if an invoice remains unpaid 5 days after it is issued, the outstanding balance will be charged to the credit card on file.
For clients who prefer to maintain a retainer, we will apply the retainer against invoices as they become due and request that it be replenished as necessary.
We believe this approach will make the payment process more predictable for both our clients and our firm, while significantly reducing the time and resources required to follow up on overdue accounts.
If you have an existing outstanding balance with our firm, we will be in touch separately to arrange payment and establish your retainer or credit card arrangement.
