Today I was sitting and thinking of one of my mum's favourite quotes - "Learn from others' mistakes, you can't live long enough to make them all yourself."

It used to sound weird till I really sat down to drill into it. There is so much you can protect yourself from if only you observe and learn from the mistakes of others.

For example, if you wanted to start a business would you rather start out on your own and make all the mistakes or would you hire the services of one who has walked that path or is trained to know, to help you?

Or if you wanted to deliver a baby, would you wing it at home with your partner (both of you have never seen a baby born), or will you go to a hospital to be attended to by one who has been trained to handle such?

I assume in both cases you would choose the latter, right? Well, in my latest youtube video I explain why you need to engage your architect early in the process, to avoid stories that touch.
